Number of Hong Kong school leavers seeking education elsewhere hits 14-year low

The number of Hong Kong secondary school leavers seeking higher education abroad has dropped to a 14-year low in 2025, with only 2,671 students opting to study outside the city. This decline is attributed to an increase in mainland Chinese students enrolling in local universities.
